Kitchen Staff; Banquets

Prepare and cook food in a high quality,consistent and timely manner while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

This position is through Mid-October with the potential for employment during the winter season.

• Setting up and stockingstations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare and cook assigneddishes based on event sheet requirements
• Ensure that food comes out in atimely manner
• Proper usage of kitchen appliances and equipment
• Assist with dishwashing and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas and floors
• Other tasks includes sweeping and mopping floors, changing garbage bags, putting away cookware and serving ware, etc.
• Stock and maintain inventory as required. Ensure the First In First Out procedure is followed
• Demonstrate a clean, positive and professional presence with team members and assist guests in a courteous and helpful manner
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, protocols and to the Food Services Code of Conduct
• Perform other responsibilities when required as directed by the Food Services Manager, Assistant Manage rand/or Supervisor

• Stamina, flexibility andself-discipline to work long hours as required
• Ability to remain composed when handling multiple tasks and when faced with unexpected problems and stressful situations
• Ability to work in a fast-pacedconsumer driven environment and make reasonable decisions quickly
• Some knowledge in proper food safety and handling

• Evening, weekend, late-nightand holiday shift work
• Ability to work in standingpositions for long periods of time
• May lift, carry, push or pullitems weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
• Handle the use of kitchen appliances and equipment

Most training is completed on the jobhowever; most should possess an interest in the food and beverage service

• Accuracy and speed in executingassigned tasks
• Some experience in the Food& Beverage industry
• General understanding ofvarious cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• No educational background required
