Job Purpose
The Eye Care Territory Manager is responsible for achieving all territory sales goals through the promotion, sale and support of company products or services. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager, Ophthalmics.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Leading one‑on‑one conversations with physicians and healthcare professionals to support approved product uses.
- Engaging in discussions with medical professionals and skillfully advocating for our products’ unique features and advantages, addressing any potential objections.
- Serving as a crucial point of contact and knowledge hub for the Patient Benefits Program.
- Planning and organizing speaker programs and other peer‑to‑peer activities in the region in collaboration with Medical.
- Leading Lunch and Learns.
- Communicating market intelligence to brand teams and management.
- Preparation and implementation of Strategic Business Plans. Reporting on Territory Metrics and KPIs.
- Attendance at Regional and National Conferences (as needed).
- Timely and accurate completion of all administrative requirements.
- Responsible for complying with Canadian drug regulations (Health Canada, Innovative Medicines Canada and Sun’s policies) regarding field drug promotion.
Report any adverse events received from customers regarding company products to the pharmacovigilance department/Drug Safety on the same day or the next business day.
Qualifications Required- Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience.

- Must have the ability and commitment to travel, including occasional overnight stays when required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior sales experience within the ophthalmic field.
- Builds powerful connections in the field of eyecare and has the ability to forge strong new alliances by providing customers with more than just a brand.
- Skilled in crafting compelling narratives that identify the most appropriate patient segments.
- Secures engagement for product adoption, and enhances it by providing ongoing support.
- Demonstrates a history of outstanding sales success.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare system processes, including reimbursement.
- General office conditions.
- The ability to travel, with occasional overnight stays as needed.

Compensation and BenefitsThe presently‑anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $93,000 to $121,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the IC Commission Plan and eligible for a fleet vehicle. Employees are eligible to participate in company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage;
life insurance; RRSP savings plan; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
