Account Manager
Our client is seeking a results‑driven Account Manager to manage and grow key home builder relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities in the Edmonton market. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of the residential construction industry, a proven sales track record, and the ability to deliver value through both technical knowledge and relationship‑based selling. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, and confident in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
Responsibilities- Manage and grow a portfolio of home builder accounts
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with builders, site supervisors, and purchasing teams
- Maintain regular communication to track project pipelines and upcoming opportunities
- Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth
- Identify and secure new home builder accounts within the Edmonton market
- Actively prospect and develop new business in the residential construction industry
- Increase market share through strategic outreach and relationship building
- Leverage industry connections to generate consistent sales opportunities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications
- Perform material take‑offs and support accurate quoting and project packages
- Work closely with estimating, design, and operations teams to deliver solutions
- Promote and sell building materials and engineered construction systems
- Help clients find efficient, cost‑effective building solutions
- Proven experience working with homebuilders or within the residential construction industry (required)
- Strong track record in account management and new business development
- Established network within the Edmonton homebuilding or construction market (strong asset)
- Ability to build and maintain long‑term, trust‑based client relationships
- Experience reading construction drawings and performing material take‑offs (asset)
- Robust communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Highly self‑motivated with a strong “hunter” sales mindset
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and driving results with minimal supervision
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on delivering value to clients
