Our client, a leading industrial equipment distributor, is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead and scale its commercial operations. Based in Edmonton, this executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading a high-performing sales team, and strengthening relationships with key industrial customers across Western Canada.
This is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role suited for a proven sales leader with experience in industrial distribution, equipment, or related technical products.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Develop and execute the regional sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives
Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics across all territories and channels
Identify new market opportunities, verticals, and expansion strategies across Western Canada
Team Management & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales leaders, account managers, and business development professionals
Build a high-performance, accountability-driven sales culture
Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of the sales organization
Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts, including large industrial customers across sectors such as energy, construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure
Engage at the executive level with customers and strategic partners
Provide market insights to inform product positioning, pricing, and competitive strategy
Revenue Growth & Execution
Drive both new business development and organic growth within existing accounts
Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM utilization
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership to ensure strong execution and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within industrial distribution, equipment, or related sectors
Proven track record of leading and scaling sales teams and delivering revenue growth
Strong experience selling into industrial customers across Western Canada
Demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
Experience with CRM systems and data-driven sales management
