Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM), Managed Services will identify, build, and convert new business opportunities for Aramark's managed services business across Western Canada — the outsourced food, facilities, and support services delivered by Aramark employees on client sites. Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Development, this role begins as a dedicated outbound prospecting function focused on key growth sectors, with a defined path to progress into a direct-selling Business Development role as pipeline management and sales skills mature.

This is an outbound, hunter-focused opportunity for a sales-driven professional with experience in sales, business development, or marketing who is looking to build a strong track record of generating qualified opportunities and develop a long-term career in sales with Aramark.

The successful candidate can be based in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, or Vancouver.

Career Progression

This role is structured as a launch point into a full-cycle sales career. As the BDM demonstrates consistent pipeline quality and conversion, and builds fluency in solution design and proposal development, they will progressively take on:

  • Direct participation in client presentations and site visits alongside the Sales Director.
  • Ownership of select opportunities through proposal and closing stages.
  • A transition path into a direct-selling Business Development

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect Identification & Research: Work with the Senior Director, Business Development to identify, research, and prioritize target accounts across key growth sectors within Western Canada markets. (15%)
  • Lead Generation & Campaign Development: Partner with marketing and sales to build sector-specific messaging, campaign storytelling, and outreach sequences that resonate with each target vertical. (15%)
  • Prospecting & Opportunity Assessment: Execute outbound campaigns via phone, email, Linked In, and other digital channels; qualify opportunities and build a robust, well-documented sales pipeline in Salesforce. (40%)
  • Competitive & Market Intelligence: Track competitor activity, contract cycles, and market conditions by sector; feed insights back to the sales team to sharpen positioning and timing of outreach. (10%)
  • Campaign Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor lead generation activity and conversion metrics against targets; report on pipeline health and ROI to the Senior Director, Business Development. (10%)
  • Networking & Industry Events: Represent Aramark at B2B conferences, association events, and industry functions; build a professional network and referral base across target sectors. (10%)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a sales, business development, or marketing role; experience in foodservice/ facilities management sectors is an asset but not required.
  • Comfortable with high-volume outbound prospecting (calls, email, social) and consistently hitting activity and pipeline targets.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong, confident presence on Linked In and other social platforms, with the ability to build and sustain a professional network.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; superior presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who is organized, coachable, and motivated by a defined path toward a direct sales career.
  • Reliable vehicle and clean driver’s license; comfortable with periodic travel across Western Canada.

Working Conditions

  • Based in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, or Vancouver;
Aramark operates under a hybrid work model.
  • Periodic travel required within the Western Canada region to visit prospects, attend industry events, and support the sales team.
  • Exposure to a range of institutional, education, senior living, and business environments.
