Microgrid Controls Sales Engineer

Edmonton, AB | Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday

We’re partnered with a high-growth, advanced power systems organization that delivers engineered microgrid, switch gear, and controls solutions for industrial, oil & gas, and renewable energy clients. With a vendor-neutral strategy and expertise across multiple OEM platforms, they are transforming how companies implement resilient, cost-efficient energy systems.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Business Development & Sales: Drive new microgrid controls & switch gear sales through outreach, site visits, and events; build technical proposals, negotiate terms, and hit revenue targets.
  • Technical Sales Support: Turn complex electrical systems into clear customer value; validate SLDs/schematics, support engineering, FATs, demos, and commissioning.
  • Customer & Account Management: Grow relationships with EPCs, end users, and partners; maintain CRM pipeline accuracy and deliver post-sale support.
  • Market Insight: Monitor microgrids/BESS/distributed energy trends; advise leadership on product gaps and competitive moves.
What They’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or similar (preferred).
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience in switch gear, controls, or microgrid systems.
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV switch gear, PLCs, controls, and SCADA.
  • Proven ability to exceed revenue goals and manage complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
