Be instrumental in remediation efforts with WSP as an Intermediate Environmental Scientist in Northern Territories. This role requires hands-on contaminated site assessment experience along with strong collaborative skills.
You will coordinate and execute two annual field programs while conducting detailed assessments and providing mentorship to junior team members. From developing safety plans to preparing thorough technical reports, your contributions directly impact project success in remote settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate winter and summer remediation programs across Canada
• Engage in fieldwork, including environmental assessments and drilling
• Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports
• Create Health and Safety and emergency response plans
• Train junior staff in safety and environmental practices
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years in contaminated site assessments
• Degree in earth or natural sciences
• Remote camp experience is a strong asset
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Professional designation or training in environmental science preferred
