Gibson Energy is seeking a dedicated co-op student to work as a Lab Technician in Edmonton. The role is perfect for students enrolled in chemistry, laboratory technology, or a related program. Responsibilities include assisting with routine tests, sample preparation, and maintaining records to ensure safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with routine laboratory testing and analysis
• Maintain accurate records of tests and observations
• Collect and prepare samples following safety procedures
• Perform housekeeping and inventory checks in the lab
• Support preventative maintenance for lab equipment
Requirements:
• Current enrollment in a relevant co-op program
• Strong communication skills, including radio use
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License for site sampling
• Basic chemistry knowledge and lab safety understanding
• Attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office
