Key Information:

• We are seeking a reliable Transfer Machine Operator to join our asphalt paving crew. The ideal candidate has experience operating a material transfer vehicle, works well within a team environment, and is willing to assist in other areas of the crew as needed to complete projects efficiently.

Job Description:

• Operate the transfer machine safely and efficiently during paving operations
• Maintain consistent material flow to the paver
• Communicate with truck drivers, paver operators, and crew to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with other duties within the paving crew as required.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow all safety procedures, traffic control plans, and company policies
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Minimum 1+ year experience operating a transfer machine
• Experience working on an asphalt paving crew.
• Highway or municipal paving experience.
• Experience working around live traffic.
• Ability to work within different areas of the paving crew as needed.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance 201 are required.
• A valid class 5 or better driver's license is required.
• A driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
• Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
• Must comply with all company policies.
• Able to work under pressure.
• You have a safety conscious attitude and able to work with others in a team.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
