UAH Maintenance Worker II Position

Work with the University of Alberta Hospital as a Maintenance Worker II, focusing on facility maintenance and urgent incident response. Enhance safety through your diverse maintenance skills in this essential role.

You will take on responsibilities within the Architectural Department of the Facilities Maintenance & Engineering team. Your duties include conducting various repairs, such as drywall and flooring, as well as assisting other tradesmen in their tasks. You play a pivotal role in managing emergent situations to ensure continuous operation and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on architectural and structural systems

• Execute minor repairs on equipment and facilities

• Collaborate with trades like Electricians and HVAC techs

• Assist in planning and organizing work permits

• Contribute to flood response team initiatives

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 10 or its equivalent

• Valid driver’s license required

• Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate needed as applicable

• Proven facility maintenance experience

• Familiarity with carpentry and steel stud framing preferred
