Equipment Operator

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Iconic Power Systems is looking for multiple Equipment Operators in the Edmonton area. The Equipment Operator fosters an environment of construction execution excellence, completes activities safely and efficiently, and maintains a strong dedication to quality. • Ensuring every team member gets home safely.
• Review and understand corporate policies/procedures.
• Review and understand project schedule/milestones.
• Provide after hours support to crews as needed.
• Coordinate day to day work scope with Foreman.
• Coordinate day to day equipment needs.
• Day to day maintenance of equipment and reporting issues to Foreman.

• 3+ years’ experience in construction.
• Hoisting & rigging experience.
• Equipment working knowledge.
• Ground Disturbances training.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment.
• Knowledgeable in civil construction.
• Ability to coach and mentor apprentices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients.
• Trenching requirements & Safety procedures.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, Class 3 with air an asset.
• D&A Testing and a Background Check is a mandatory requirement of this position.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset).
