Roof Smart Inc. is hiring a highly experienced Exterior Renovations Service Technician & Roofing Inspector to join our growing team in Edmonton. This is a full-time position focused primarily on roofing service work, inspections, warranty deficiencies, and profitable repair projects, while also assisting with specialty exterior renovation tasks such as permanent soffit lighting installations.

This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone with strong technical roofing knowledge, excellent communication skills, exceptional time management, and the ability to independently solve problems in the field.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands‑on roofing experience across multiple roofing systems and understands how to professionally manage customers, inspections, repairs, scheduling, and reporting.

• Perform roofing service repairs and warranty deficiency work
• Install permanent soffit lighting systems
• Conduct qualified roof inspections and complete comprehensive inspection reports using company systems
• Diagnose roofing issues and determine proper repair methods
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding arrival times, schedule updates, job start times, and job completion timelines
• Maintain organized daily schedules with multiple inspections, repairs, and service calls
• Assist roofing crews when required on active installations
• Support crews short on manpower by assisting with roofing installs and material handling
• Tow company trailers as required

Applicants must be proficient in at least 3 of the following roofing systems:

• Asphalt Roofing
• Tile Roofing
• Metal Roofing
• Flat Roofing - (TPO or T&G)

Strong installation knowledge and field experience are mandatory.

• Minimum 10 years roofing experience
• Strong background in roofing service and repair work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent English communication
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and high "Roofing IQ"
• Exceptional time management and punctuality
• Ability to independently manage a full day of scheduled appointments
• Ability to read roof diagrams and measurements
• Valid driver's license
• Must own a truck capable of carrying ladders and towing company trailers with a hitch receiver
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
