Millwright Journeyperson Day Shift

FDI Services Inc. is hiring Journeyperson Millwrights for exciting day shift opportunities in Edmonton. Play a key role at the Waste Management Centre, ensuring the efficient operation of machinery.

As part of our maintenance team, you will bring your expertise in mechanical systems to perform essential Millwright duties. This position involves working with highly specialized equipment and requires a mix of technical skills and problem-solving aptitude. Candidates must commit to safety and efficiency while executing responsibilities in a busy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess diagrams and manuals to plan work tasks

• Safely operate rigging equipment and machinery

• Align gears and fit necessary mechanical components

• Conduct preventative maintenance and necessary repairs

• Perform tack welding and oversee inventory management

Requirements:

• Must hold a Millwright Journeyperson certificate

• Clean driver’s abstract and valid Alberta driver’s license

• Capable of physically demanding duties

• Experience working at heights necessary

• Strong manual dexterity and analytical skills required
