Journeyman Mechanic

Position: Journeyman Mechanic City
Become a vital part of the City of Edmonton as a Journeyman Mechanic. In this full-time role, you will repair and maintain our diverse fleet of vehicles, from cars to snowmobiles.

The City of Edmonton seeks an Automotive Service Technician I to ensure vehicles are in top condition. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs on various components, and providing field service support. This role requires proficiency with diagnostic equipment and adherence to safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose vehicle problems using diagnostic programs

• Perform repairs and overhauls on essential vehicle components

• Provide field service support at City work sites

• Maintain accurate records using the Fleet Management System

• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on vehicles

Requirements:

• Alberta Journeyman certification in Automotive Service Technician

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent

• Strong computer skills, especially with M5 software

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence

• Ability to handle heavy lifting and work in extreme conditions
