Transport Mechanic Afternoon Shift

Join Caron Transportation Systems as a Truck and Transport Mechanic for the afternoon shift, running Sunday to Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM at our Edmonton Terminal. Bring your skills in repair, diagnosis, and compliance to this crucial role.

We are seeking a competent transport mechanic with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, either as a Journeyman or Apprentice. You’ll be responsible for inspecting and servicing transport trucks and trailers, utilizing hand and power tools according to manufacturer specifications. Your ability to read work orders and diagnose issues will be key in maintaining optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose all transport truck systems

• Use tools to execute repairs per specifications

• Interpret technical manuals and work orders

• Write work orders detailing failures

• Mentor apprentices and provide guidance

Requirements:

• Journeyman or Apprentice with 2+ years experience

• CVIP License preferred but not mandatory

• Strong safety awareness and work ethic

• Reliability and a positive attitude towards duties

• Flexibility in work schedule
