Exciting opportunity with Capital Power in Warburg, Alberta! As a full-time Power Plant Electrician/Instrument Technician, you'll engage with complex electrical and control systems in power generation.
In this role, you’ll be pivotal in maintaining high, medium, and low voltage systems, troubleshooting issues, and executing plant upgrades. Your hands-on experience will ensure the effective performance of our grid and enhance overall operational reliability.
You'll work with in a safety-sensitive environment while supporting plant modernization projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and maintain various electrical systems
• Conduct inspections and performance testing on equipment
• Support safe electrical practices and switching operations
• Provide calibration for instrumentation and control systems
• Participate in planned outages and contractor oversight
Requirements:
• Journeyman Electrician with Red Seal credentials
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience
• Expertise in protective relays and motor control systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High School Diploma or equivalency
