Role Summary
PTW is hiring local Apprentices instrumentation to join our team in Whitecourt, AB. This role supports construction and maintenance instrumentation work on industrial projects, with opportunities to build hands-on experience while progressing through your apprenticeship. Ideal candidates are motivated apprentices who can work safely, follow direction, and contribute effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation systems on industrial and commercial projects
• Support journeyman and senior tradespeople with day-to-day field tasks
• Follow safety procedures and maintain strong compliance with site requirements
• Participate in troubleshooting and basic diagnostics under supervision
• Work collaboratively with crew members to complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
Qualifications / Requirements
• Must be an indentured Instrumentation Apprentice (2nd, 3rd, or 4th year)
• Construction and maintenance instrumentation experience required
• Valid safety tickets required: CSO, Standard First Aid, TDG, WHMIS, ESC Fall Protection, and H2S Alive
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow safe work practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to work
• Strong communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in Canada
• Must be local to Whitecourt or within commuting distance, or willing to relocate
