Work Location:

Construction sites in Calgary and surrounding areas

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces for tile installation
• Mix and apply mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using a hand trowel
• Create rough plans and sketches for tile layouts
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power tools
• Align and straighten tiles for precise placement
• Install tile strips and pack grout into joints, removing excess grout
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
• Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets
• Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
• Estimate costs and materials for projects
• Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces

• College diploma/CEGEP
• 7 - 12 months of work experience in related field
• Weigh handling up to 23kg (50lb)
• A driver’s license is required; own vehicle is an asset
