Signal Assistant in Field Operations

Support outdoor project work with PNR Rail Works as a Signal Assistant, working near live tracks in various weather conditions. This physically demanding role requires general labor and equipment operation.

As a Signal Assistant reporting to the Signal Supervisor, you will engage in project work and maintenance operations outdoors. Candidates must have 1-2 years of field electrical experience and be mechanically inclined. This role involves collaboration with Signal Maintainers and adherence to safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor tasks and operate equipment

• Maintain tools and equipment in service-ready condition

• Assist Signal Supervisor and maintainers with special duties

• Collaborate on project work with Signal Maintainers

• Comply with railway safety practices and signal procedures

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of field electrical experience

• Valid driver’s G license required

• Previous project work or construction experience

• Mechanically inclined for small engine repairs

• Familiarity with heavy equipment is an asset
