JOB SUMMARY
The Excavator or Rubber Tire Backhoe Operator reports to a Lead Hand/Foreman to assist in the installation of electrical & underground utilities. We are looking for an operator whose primary experience is in an excavator. The ability to run other equipment would be considered an asset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to work 5 - 6 days a week, 8 - 10 hours a day.

Operate Heavy Equipment - Specifically Excavator or Rubber Tire Backhoe

Primary role will be excavating trenches at 1.5 meter depth.

Ability to run other equipment (Excavator or Backhoe) is required

Dig, backfill, and sand trenches with heavy equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment.

Site setup and cleanup.

Adapt to changing priorities.

Work in all weather conditions.

Perform labour tasks, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Ability to lift 50lbs.

Competency driving standard vehicles is considered an asset.

Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and walk.
