Heavy Equipment Mechanic

As a valued member of the Fleet Services team, you'll conduct critical maintenance and repair work on heavy-duty equipment.
Your role will include inspecting vehicles, performing comprehensive diagnostics, and executing repairs following manufacturer guidelines. With a focus on operational excellence, you will support a safe and efficient working environment while advancing your mechanical skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair heavy equipment and vehicles efficiently
• Execute inspections and preventive maintenance protocols
• Utilize diagnostic tools for accurate problem-solving
• Complete necessary maintenance documentation
• Mentor and assist apprentices and less experienced staff
Requirements:
• Certification as an Alberta Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Proven ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues
• Understanding of health and safety standards
• Class 3 driver’s license with Air Brake endorsement required
