Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanics

We are currently seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and crushing plant components, with a strong focus on conveyor systems and related equipment.

Pay Rate: $40-$49/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and crushing plant machinery
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on conveyors, crushers, screeners, and related equipment
• Repair and replace conveyor belts, rollers, bearings, motors, pulleys, and hydraulic components
• Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting
• Complete field and shop repairs as required
• Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize repairs
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certified Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician required
• conveyor system experience is asset
• Experience with conveyors, loaders, excavators, and heavy equipment maintenance
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Valid driver’s license required
• Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset
