ACSI is seeking experienced Formwork
Carpenter Apprentices & Journeypersons with industrial experience who will be integral to our project’s success.
Key Responsibilities
Interpreting and applying information found in drawings, specificationsUndertaking the layout (selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, measuring and marking materials).Prepare, erect and remove structural formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams and shafts.Cutting and shaping materials and joining them with nails, screws, bolts or glue.Checking completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location.General carpentry such as framing, hoarding, doors and frames and other activities as assigned.Journeyperson will mentor apprentices respectfully and oversee their safety.Requirements and Experience
CSTS-20 CertificateFall ProtectionConfined Space Entry MonitorExperience as a Formwork Carpenter in an industrial construction environmentProven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.Project: DOW FSP2Z
Location:
Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Rate: $29.63 to $49.38 per hour
Overtime: as per collective agreement
Schedule: 5x2, 6am start 10 hours/day.
