The Town of Stony Plain is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for seasonal work. This role emphasizes road maintenance and safe equipment operation within municipal services.

As a temporary Heavy Equipment Operator, you will operate various heavy machinery under the supervision of the Foreman, Roads. Responsibilities include the maintenance of streets, including ice control, snow removal, and traffic control devices. Your mechanical skills will be crucial for meeting community needs in Stony Plain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage street sweeping and maintenance tasks

• Execute snow removal and ice control measures

• Operate backhoes, loaders, and skid steers

• Maintain local ditches and culverts

• Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Requirements:

• Class 3 Alberta Operators License with air brake endorsement

• 3-5 years of relevant equipment operation experience

• High School Diploma required

• Knowledge of safety worksite practices

• Physical ability to perform job duties in varied conditions
