Heavy Equipment Operator for Town Services

Location: Stony Plain

Work with the Town of Stony Plain as a Heavy Equipment Operator engaged in essential road maintenance services. This temporary role involves diverse equipment operation.

The Town of Stony Plain is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to support their Public Works department. Reporting to the Foreman, Roads, you will be tasked with considerable responsibilities including snow removal and maintenance of roads and sidewalks. A strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate snowplow trucks and motor graders

• Perform maintenance on culverts and ditches

• Execute dust control and paving marking

• Assist other divisions as required

• Participate in on-call schedule and overtime as necessary

Requirements:

• Class 3 Alberta Operators License required

• 3-5 years of experience with heavy equipment

• High School Diploma

• Solid understanding of safety practices

• Physically capable of manual labor and adverse weather

Your mechanical skills and experience in heavy equipment operation will play a vital role in supporting the community of Stony Plain.
