As an Automotive Mechanic, you will engage in comprehensive vehicle maintenance, including minor body repairs, electrical diagnostics, and maintaining mechanical systems. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, as you'll work with minimal supervision to ensure the Division’s fleet operates effectively and safely. Regularly collaborating with colleagues will enhance operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair and maintain vehicles and small engine equipment
• Conduct inspections and perform mechanical repairs
• Document all repairs and service tasks thoroughly
• Assist with scheduling maintenance projects
• Drive and operate heavy equipment when required
Requirements:
• Valid Journeyman Automotive Technician certification
• Several years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with power tools and safety practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
