As part of GCS Group, the Intermediate Telecom Horizontal Directional Drill Locator will independently handle locate duties for various projects in central Alberta. Coordination with drill operators and operating Sub Site technology are key aspects of this position. You will also provide guidance to junior locators, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage locate duties for telecom HDD bore operations

• Calibrate and operate Sub Site locating systems

• Maintain communication with Ditch Witch drill crews

• Report utility conflicts and ground anomalies immediately

• Accurately record bore data for documentation

Requirements:

• Proven experience in HDD locating for telecom or utilities

• Competency in using Sub Site technology

• Ability to work alongside Ditch Witch drill crews

• Valid certifications including CSTS 2020 training

• Valid driver’s license and strong situational awareness
