Location: Nisku
Advance your mechanical knowledge at Tiger as an Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic located in Nisku. This role focuses on keeping a robust fleet of trucks and trailers in excellent condition.
Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager in Transportation, successful candidates will be 2nd or 3rd year apprentices. You will be responsible for maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues, and maintaining records in the TMT system. Flexibility is key, as you may need to respond to out-of-hours repair calls.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles
• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance effectively
• Diagnose mechanical failures and conduct repairs accordingly
• Maintain cleanliness in your workspace and assist with other duties
• Document all work in the TMT system diligently
Requirements:
• 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship status required
• Experience with hydraulic systems and Super B trailers is beneficial
• Understanding safety hazards and precautions in the trade
• Capability to operate various repair tools
• Must pass necessary pre-employment tests
