Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG, Fabrication, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Alta Steel is currently seeking a safety-conscious Journeyperson Welder to join our Maintenance team. This role plays a vital part in supporting production by performing timely plant welding repairs and contributing to fabrication and rebuild projects in our fab shop.
ResponsibilitiesPerform structural welding repairs across a wide range of plant equipment and infrastructure
Support production areas through efficient and high-quality welding work
Complete fabrication and rebuild projects in the fab shop
Weld using SMAW and FCAW processes, primarily on mild steel, with occasional work on stainless steel and aluminum
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to complete projects accurately
Journeyman Alberta Welder or Red Seal Welder certification
- CWB certified SMAW all positions, must show proof upon offer
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to procedures
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
Effective communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Details- Full time, permanent, in-town opportunity.
