• Inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles, machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
• Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance and repair records.
• Coordinate specialized repairs and parts requirements with supervisors, operators and external vendors.
• Identify and report equipment deficiencies, safety concerns and maintenance requirements.
• Use tools, equipment and personal protective equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized and properly equipped work area while supporting a strong safety culture across shop, yard and field operations.

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certification.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Vacuum Truck experience is an asset.
• Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License required with clean abstract.
• Excellent safety record and a commitment to safe work practices.
• Willingness to provide references, consent to a criminal record check and complete pre-employment alcohol & drug testing.
• Must be able to work out of town on a rotational schedule.
