** What You'll Be Doing*
* * Duties and Responsibilities*:
* Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment

Install, maintain and service gas construction heating units and their components, such as burners, valves, and automatic controls.
* Test and replace defective equipment or components.
* Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.
* Attend to gas escape calls.
* Prepare reports on work performed and condition of equipment.
* Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems.
* May repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.
* Check equipment for damage upon return, report damage and fill out service tags for all returned equipment.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle.
** What You'll Bring to the Team*
* * Qualifications and Requirements*:
* Ticketed Gasfitter (A or

B) or 2nd or 3rd year apprentice gasfitter.
* Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
* Picker truck experience is required.
* Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair a variety of heating equipment in the shop or field.
* Experience with temporary construction heaters (direct and indirect fired, hydronic, electrical etc.) would be an asset.
* Knowledge of designing and installing temporary heating systems at construction sites using natural gas, propane and diesel equipment would be an asset.
* Knowledge of the safety regulations, codes and practices regarding LP/NG use, equipment servicing, permitting and installation at construction sites would be an asset.
* Ability to read/understand building and mechanical plans, job specifications and other technical documents would be an asset.
