Operate loaders and attachments at SECURE in Edmonton, Alberta, supporting safe yard operations with equipment checks, maintenance, and communication.
SECURE seeks an experienced, safety-minded Heavy Equipment Operator for a full-time permanent yard-based position. You will operate loaders with fork and bucket attachments while following operating standards and safety procedures. The schedule runs Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate loaders and equipment using safe work practices
- Conduct walk-arounds, pre-operational checks, and safety inspections
- Clean, lubricate, and refill equipment tanks
- Secure special attachments and operate two-way radios
- Report repair needs and complete minor equipment repairs
- Two years of equipment operation experience
- At least 5,000 hours in heavy equipment operations
- Grade 12 or GED
- Shredder experience is an asset
- Physical fitness for required heavy labour
