Perform gas pipe fusions in Edmonton and surrounding areas while supporting ATCO and Apex Utilities facility installations. Submit accurate testing documentation.
Black & McDonald’s Utilities team seeks a Utility Gas Fuser reporting to the Foreperson or designate. Complete gas facility installation cycles, including main line connections, service punch tees, tracer wires, and pressure testing. Support crews placing gas mains online.
Key Responsibilities:- Measure and stake gas lines in proper locations
- Install and test tees and tracer wire connections
- Document deviations and fitting location changes for as-builts
- Complete pressure testing and submit approved documentation
- Move materials while keeping worksites organized
- Minimum one to two years of gas fusing experience
- Certified ATCO or Apex Utilities fuser up to eight inches
- Ability to complete live gas tie-ins safely
- Class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
