Mobile Crane Operator in Western Canada

Become a Mobile Crane Operator with Valard Construction and support crucial transmission line projects across Western Canada. This position is field-based and requires travel to remote sites and the ability to work in varying conditions.

Valard Construction seeks an experienced and safety-focused Operator holding a valid Class 1 licence. As part of the unionized team, you'll operate mobile cranes and heavy equipment, contributing to critical infrastructure projects in Western and potentially Eastern Canada. Various duties include rigging up equipment and ensuring safety compliance through inspections and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to and rig cranes for different project sites

• Operate hoist and swing equipment for material movement

• Conduct regular equipment safety inspections and maintain logs

• Ensure equipment is secured during transit and operation

• Comply with safety policies and regulations thoroughly

Requirements:

• Journeyman Mobile Crane Operator certification

• Valid Class 1 driver's licence with good record

• Experience in transmission line construction projects

• Knowledge of relevant equipment regulations

• Ability to work at remote camp locations
