Industrial Mechanic Millwright

West Fraser is seeking an Industrial Mechanic Millwright for its Edson location. Join our maintenance team to enhance uptime through equipment repair and innovative solutions in a full-time role.

As a Journeyperson Millwright, you will play a central role in our maintenance improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and ensuring reliable operation of production equipment. This position requires mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills, as you’ll be involved in inspecting various mechanical systems and repairing them as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic systems

• Undertake preventative maintenance programs for all equipment

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings for repairs

• Operate hoisting devices during assembly and repair

• Verify and document all repairs performed

Requirements:

• Valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Millwright Certification

• Ability to read blueprints, plans, and schematics

• Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and safely

• Flexible to work various shifts
