The Gori Law Firm Medicare and Lien Resolution Assistant Floater Employee Job Description

Position Title: Medicare and Lien Resolution Assistant Floater

Reports To: Medicare Supervisor

Employment Type: Full Time (40 hrs/week) M-F 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM;
Alternative, Flexible Schedule + 1 remote day per week available per department needs and supervisor approval.

Compensation: $17.00–$20.00 per hour; hourly, non-exempt.

Overall Description

A Medicare and Lien Resolution Assistant Floater at The Gori Law Firm will perform clerical duties including, but not limited to, saving documents, inputting data, and filling in where needed to support the success of Medicare & Lien Resolution team in order to assist clients in the lien resolution process.

Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately
  • Knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • Knowledge of basic functions for typing, saving and preparing legal correspondence
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to proof legal documents for accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the phone with clients
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to updated policies and procedures
  • Self-motivated and well-organized

    Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Punctual and predictable attendance
  • Job duties must be regularly performed in the office
  • Prior experience or knowledge in the following preferred:
    • Legal Field
    • Customer Service
    • Industry, products, and/or medical complications related to asbestos exposure
Position Duties
  • Prepare, mail, and fax legal correspondence to clients
  • Copy, scan, and save documents into an electronic document management system
  • Document calls, emails, and any other communication with clients
  • Provide clients with information and educate them regarding next steps in the lien resolution process
  • Post documents to e-filing systems
  • Work both independently and part of the Medicare & Lien Resolution team to ensure all tasks are appropriately managed
  • Other duties as assigned
Education, Certificates and/or Licenses
  • GED or high school equivalent
  • Must pass criminal history background check
