Global Logistics Specialist IJob Summary
Daily shipping execution (including load tendering, documentation preparation, track and trace and other logistical activities) for both domestic and international shipments originating from WWT warehouses and vendor or remote facilities. The position also executes export and import compliance procedures consistent with U.S. and international regulations.
Job Responsibilities- Develop an in‑depth understanding of the logistics industry, key players, and their success strategies.
- Stay aware of industry trends, challenges and concepts.
- Understand industry products/services and their applications, differentiating the pros, cons and implications of various options.
- Utilize resources and tools to maximize performance and value; track operational efficiency.
- Continuously improve personal efficiency; double‑check the accuracy of others’ output to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Identify non‑value‑added processes and suggest improvements that impact quality.
- Assess bottlenecks to streamline workflow.
- Coordinate with team members to execute new ideas and achieve process improvement goals.
- Compile data and analyze the impact of changes.
- Retrieve necessary information from records‑management systems and maintain records per retention schedules.
- Compile documentation and ensure accuracy of records in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and organize records and data per policies.
- Gather pertinent information by analyzing data and patterns to identify underlying issues.
- Research and recommend detailed solutions.
- Implement solutions based on standard practices and experiences; escalates complex issues.
- Accurately track details and deliverables.
- Assess task importance and prioritize when faced with competing demands.
- Negotiate trade‑offs on time and resource allocations.
- Exchange information transparently to gain support.
- Seek help from a manager when needed to resolve differences and ensure agreement.
- Assist in conducting straightforward cost, benefit and risk analyses.

- Learn about company financial and management accounting policies, procedures and systems.
- Gain basic accounting knowledge (GAAP, cost accounting, etc.).

- Execute tasks and provide data to support implementation of holistic solutions linking structure, people, processes and technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in domestic and international logistics and trade compliance.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Six Sigma / Lean training a plus.
- MRP experience a plus (Oracle or SAP).
- Knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations.
