What You Will Do
- Under the direction of the Principal Architect, but with considerable independence, the Project Manager oversees the design and construction of smaller renovation projects at SIUE, as requested by a department.
- The position also may manage larger, multi-million dollar projects executed by A/E Consultants under contract, acting as the Owner's Agent.
- The position carries the responsibility and authority as needed to ensure construction projects are built per contract drawings and specifications as well as cost control to ensure budgetary goals are met.

-Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories: work experience in construction management, building project management or a closely related field. college coursework in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
--Associate Degree (60 semester hours) equals one (1) year (12 months) --90-semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) --Bachelor's Degree or higher (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
-Three (3) years (36 months) of building construction management and/or building project management experience comparable to the lower level of this series.
Preferred Qualifications -8+ years of experience
-Licensed Architect Master of Architecture degree WELL Building accreditation (or interest in acquiring such) LEED AP Accreditation (or interest in acquiring such) Proficiency in Revit and BIM modeling Proficiency in Sketchup Modeling Proficiency in, or willingness to train in the use of carbon counting software Generalist in experience across the aspects of the practices of architecture and construction Experience with the renovation and maintenance of institutional buildings.
Experience with interior space planning, renovation, and design. Experience with the design and construction process in the execution of new multi-million dollar projects. Desirable experience in managing A/E consultants and a thorough understanding of Building and Life Safety Codes including ADA requirements.
