NextGen Worship Director

The Next Gen Worship Director provides worship leadership and direction across Metro Community Church’s Young Adults, Students, and Kids ministries. This role is responsible for creating Christ-centered worship environments while building, discipling, and developing healthy Worship & Production teams.

• Provide overall worship leadership and direction for Young Adults, Students, and Kids.
• Lead worship and provide service leadership for weekly Next Gen gatherings.
• Collaborate with Next Gen, Worship, and Production staff to create engaging and distraction-free worship experiences.
• Lead organized, spiritually encouraging, and productive rehearsals.
• Oversee worship preparation including Planning Center, Ableton/Playback, practice resources, Pro Presenter, and lighting.
• Lead worship during weekend services, Worship Nights, and other church-wide gatherings as assigned.

• Recruit, audition, onboard, and develop Worship & Production volunteers.
• Coach and develop musicians, vocalists, worship leaders, and production volunteers.
• Identify and invest in emerging leaders within each Next Gen ministry.
• Provide ongoing musical, technical, leadership, and spiritual development for teams.
• Build and maintain a healthy team culture centered around spiritual maturity, preparation, excellence, and community.
• Regularly evaluate teams and worship experiences to identify opportunities for continued growth.

• Build intentional relationships with Next Gen Worship & Production volunteers.
• Provide regular encouragement, coaching, feedback, and spiritual care.
• Create opportunities for team connection, discipleship, and community.
• Maintain healthy and sustainable volunteer serving rhythms.
• Model the spiritual and relational expectations of Metro Community Church. Planning & Administration
• Coordinate worship scheduling, rehearsals, service planning, and volunteer communication.
• Maintain accurate and timely Planning Center schedules and worship resources.
• Oversee weekly preparation of playback, presentation, and production elements.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively across Next Gen, Worship, Production, and campus teams.
• Steward the Next Gen Worship & Production budget and ministry resources.
• Maintain organized, prepared, and excellent worship and production environments.

The ideal candidate is a spiritually mature worship leader who loves Jesus, loves the next generation, and has a passion for developing people. They should be a strong musical leader who can lead from the platform while also building teams, developing volunteers, creating healthy culture, and providing strong organizational leadership behind the scenes. This role requires someone who is relational, spiritually grounded, musically capable, organized, teachable, collaborative, and passionate about raising up the next generation of worshipers and worship leaders.
