What You Will Do- Serve as academic advisor for nursing students (graduate and/or undergraduate).
- Maintain academic file management, provide academic advising, register assigned nursing students, and develop student program progression plans.
- Meet with prospective students and families to provide information about the School of Nursing.
- Maintain summary data on inquiries, prospective students, applicants, admitted students, enrolled students, and inactive students to keep the Director of Student Services, the Assistant Deans, the Associate Dean for Academic Programs, and the Dean fully informed of nursing enrollment.
- Assist with recruitment of students and provide feedback in preparation of the annual recruitment plan for the School of Nursing.
- Work closely with the Director of Student Services to ensure proper workflow and perform assigned tasks.
- Provide input and participate in university recruitment events and School of Nursing student‑related events.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Nursing.
FLSA:
Exempt.
- Academic Advisor I:
Master’s Degree – $42,500.00 - Academic Advisor II:
Master’s Degree and two (2) full years of direct advising experience – $45,500.00 - Preferred:
Master’s Degree in college student personnel, higher education, or a related field. Experience in college admissions and/or advisement and/or counseling preferred. Proficiency in computer record‑keeping skills, ability to work effectively with high volumes of students, faculty, and administration, and demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position are essential. Excellent communication skills.
