Overview
Responsible for engineering activities associated with the design and construction of overhead and underground distribution and electrical transmission systems.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesMay oversee project teams and guide junior engineers and technicians.
Duties/Responsibilities- Conduct field audits and assessments for the construction and maintenance of electrical power systems.
- Assist customers and clients in resolving technical and operational issues.
- Design and layout distribution systems according to industry standards and client requirements.
- Attend or facilitate project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies.
- Cross-train in all facets of the Engineering Division, preparing to fill in for anyone absent and grow in responsibility and scope over time.
- Train and mentor less experienced interns and engineers.
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least five (5) years of experience in the engineering or utility industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.
- Proficient with CAD and/or Microstation, PLS CAD, SAG
10, and ARC Flash Studies. - Experience with fiber optic design and understanding of contractual and project/work environments.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed Engineer Intern (EI) working towards PE licensure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver s license.
- Must be able to work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and survey sites for extended periods.
- Capable of carrying and operating testing and survey equipment.
Travel up to 5% of the time to various project sites, with occasional overnight stays required.

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
