Louis and Jefferson City, Illinois – Collinsville and Effingham and Kentucky – Louisville and Prestonsburg.

We are looking for a Civil Engineer – Roadway Project Manager
, with experience in Illinois Department of Transportation projects to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. (If coming from another DOT - willing to learn IDOT standards). By designing municipal roadway and highway projects, you will be supporting our mission and developing a better tomorrow.

• Managing transportation engineering projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the design and coordinating work with other staff and design team members
• Signing/sealing work as required
• Serving as a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local officials
• Design and plan production for municipal roadways, interstate highways, intersections, interchanges, ADA compliant sidewalks and multi-use facilities
• Provide roadway design elements including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, intersection layout, drainage design, pedestrian facility design, utilities conflict and relocations, as well as other roadway design tasks
• Work collaboratively with CDI Service Leaders, Project Engineers, and other team members to develop effective project solutions
• Displaying an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types
• Ensuring compliance with CDI’s safety and QA/QC procedures

• Being able to lead a project that includes collaboration with the team, as well as managing tasks and being responsive to client needs
• Strong technical skills in transportation engineering and roadway design
• Project management experience with Illinois Department of Transportation projects
• Highly proficient with roadway design software;
  Micro Station/Open Roads Designer (ORD)
• Experience with Highway/Roadway Design and Plan Production
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while possessing strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a four-year college or university
• Registered PE
• 5 – 15 plus years’ experience

This role can be based out of the Collinsville, IL;
Effingham, IL;
Jefferson City MO;
Louisville KY or St. Louis, MO. The travel expected is up to 10%.
