Job Description Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ progressive experience in a related field required

Compensation/ Benefits

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base rate for this position is $18.46 – $23.09 an hour. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.

Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Job Summary

Performs tasks related to building and cabling racks and cabinets. Basic installation of equipment in racking, demonstrating the ability to follow rack elevation documentation. Ability to perform tasks with no supervision or training. Will need to validate the physical and systematic processing of material while being able to record quality transactions representing work as well as physical audit of equipment and accessories.

This position reports to a Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Install and integrate equipment per build specifications into network, server racks and/or Telecom racks and cabinets
  • Addition or removal of non-powered or passive equipment
  • Knowledge on the proper use of manual and power tools
  • Troubleshoot installation of hardware
  • Perform labeling based on customer requirements
  • Create and apply device and cable labels for a wide variety of equipment
  • Read and understand wiring diagrams and installation instructions
