Virtual Inpatient Registered Nurse - Part Time

Part time RN position (1) 12 Hour Day Shift – 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM at BJC Commons. Minimum 2‑5+ years RN experience required.

Bedside RN experience in Acute Med/Med Surg required. This part‑time role is onsite (not remote) and requires ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes.

Ideal candidate is a strong communicator, maintains a positive attitude, and is comfortable using technology. Recent bedside acute medical experience needed. Expect to complete a high volume of admissions and discharges accurately and efficiently and deliver patient education/support via virtual platforms.

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.

• Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on managing their illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members and patient/family/caregiver.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs per standards of care.
• Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
• Maintains a safety‑sensitive position with alertness and safe manner.

• Experience:
  
  2‑5+ years RN, bedside acute medical.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Licenses: RN.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma/Associate’s in Nursing.

  None required (candidate must meet the minimum RN experience specified above).
