Local Contract Nurse – Correctional – Edwardsville, Illinois

Staff Today is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a local contract nursing position in the Correctional facility in Edwardsville, Illinois.

• Schedule: Some weekends may be required; 8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility; contract position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)
• Pay Rate: $52.50 per hour, weekly pay

• Perform health screenings and physical examinations
• Triage, assess, and treat inmates’ chronic, acute, psychological, and medical needs during incarceration
• Assess and provide mental health care, including patient assessments and evaluations
• Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions as directed by medical staff
• Serve as first responder in emergencies and crisis situations
• Perform general nursing duties such as cardiac monitoring, catheter management, venipuncture, IVs, and diabetic lines

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Illinois, license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
