Receiving Clerk

Description

We are looking for a responsible Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments with material or products. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of the inbound process from receipts to directing the put aways. This will enable our lead the flexibility of addressing any receiving discrepancies, communications to our vendors, auditing the receipts, and the ability to research all reported OS&D’s.

Checking their contents to ensure they match the orders. A receiving clerk must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate with clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers. The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately.

• Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
• Verify packages according to order and invoices.
• Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified.
• Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
• Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.

• Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position.
• Excel.
• Word.
• Microsoft office.
• WMS knowledge.
• Prior receiving experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Team Player.
• Great communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Keen eye for detail.

• Employee will be exposed to an open warehouse where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
• The work site is a warehouse/distribution environment.
• The warehouse environment is typically in the construction phase and personal protective equipment (PPE) must always be used including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes.
• Safety shoes with composite toe reinforcement required.
