Position Summary
Amerhart is hiring for a 2nd Shift Material Handler at our Edwardsville, IL facility. The primary responsibility is to perform all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. You will help others when needed, treat teammates with respect, and perform work safely according to policies.
Shift & Compensation- Hours:
4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. CST (2nd Shift) - Pay: $22.00/hour + $1.00 shift differential
- Unload trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick orders using a forklift until orders are fully filled.
- Use handheld scanner when receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks and cycle counting in accordance with WMS processes.
- Collaborate with WMS Coordinator on questions and updates.
- Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
- Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
- Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.
- Fill orders for incoming customers.
- Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning warehouses and yard.
- Inspect the forklift prior to daily operation to avoid equipment problems and malfunctions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Cross‑train and back up others in the warehouse.
- Strong initiative, self‑starter with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a cross‑functional team environment.
- Working knowledge and techniques associated with organizing and setting priorities.
- High School Diploma.
- 1–2 years of warehouse experience required, including forklift experience.
- Neat and clean appearance.
- Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
