This role is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate processing of products and data through the warehouse. At the core, you must be proficient on multiple types of material handling equipment and accurate with all forms of recordkeeping both written and transacted.
This position reports to the 1st shift
, which operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm.
This position will initially require being on-site in our St. Louis location to train (3728 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63110) before shifting over to the location in Edwardsville, IL (5715 Inner Park Drive, Edwardsville, IL, 62025) when training is complete.
How you will make an impact in this role- Maintain accurate and timely records of material movements both written and transacted
- Unload floor‑stacked containers onto pallets and stack them in the proper configuration
- Prepare pallets of product for transport including stretch‑wrapping and labeling
- Move pallets of product from the staging area to the proper storage bins
- Perform internal movement of pallets between storage bins
- Pick and prepare customer orders according to picklist following all relevant information
- Repair, unpack, repack, and label product
- Perform assigned facilities maintenance duties and comply with facility cleaning schedule
- Prior warehouse experience required
- Ability to operate forklift in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OHSA)
- Forklift certification highly preferred - reach truck/high reach forklift preferred
- Ability to perform Picking process efficiently
- Understand basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking procedures
- Ability to recognize and understand numbers and alpha/numeric codes
- Ability to work independently with some directions
- Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
- Comfortable in fast‑paced environment
- Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Team player who works productively with wide range of people
- Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Warehouse Employees must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or move 25 to 40 pounds
This position works in a warehouse setting, in an uncontrolled climate. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as manual pallet jacks and other equipment including computers, scales, banding equipment and postage machines.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
