Job Overview

Amerhart is hiring a Material Handler for our Edwardsville, IL (STL) facility. The role performs all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. Members of the Operations team support each other, treat teammates with respect, and work safely according to safety policies and procedures.

Hourly Pay: $22/hour + full benefits
1st Shift: 7:30 a.m. CST until the day’s work is finished.

• Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and place product in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely fulfilled.
• Report shortages, damage, or other issues and coordinate with the sales team when orders cannot be shipped as requested.
• Use handheld scanners for receiving, order picking, loading trucks, and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
• Collaborate with the WMS Coordinator on questions and updates.
• Band, wrap, and prepare material for safe shipping.
• Arrange orders on trucks using safe weight distribution practices.
• Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.
• Fill orders for incoming customers.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning warehouses and yards.
• Inspect the forklift before daily operation to prevent equipment problems and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Cross‑train and backup other warehouse team members.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience, including some experience with flat‑bed loading and unloading.
• Neat and clean appearance.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Prefer candidates with sit‑down forklift experience.
