Overview
Position supports warehouse operations, focusing on safety, staffing, process improvement, and employee development. The role collaborates with Operations Supervisors to meet performance, safety, and budget targets, while ensuring effective communication and engagement across the team.
Responsibilities- Ensure all Associates understand and use safe work practices; complete safety observations of the facility.
- Determine daily workload (production volume) sent by corporate; monitor inventory movements throughout the day.
- Evaluate staffing needs to meet daily demand; reassign Associates to positions based on resources and skill sets to complete shift work within established times.
- Work with Operations Supervisors to set associates up for success and achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance, and budget targets.
- Receive and review inbound truck schedules and communications regarding incoming trains; schedule the day accordingly and alert the Operations Coach.
- Expedite receiving, picking, and shipping of priority product (e.g., Special Order Express, Emergency Orders, or Special-Order Sales).
- Resolve simple and complex warehouse management system issues; resolve inventory discrepancies (e.g., missed picks, damaged goods, short allocations).
- Communicate effectively with associates and Performance Instructors regarding business objectives or current issues.
- Promote an engaging and inclusive work environment; collaborate through Operations Supervisors to implement process improvements or corporate-initiated changes.
- Travel to other facilities to assist when needed.
- Assist associates with HR-related issues (attendance, pay, benefits, job changes, terminations, I-9 verification, unemployment claims, workplace accommodations).
- Participate in hiring talented individuals for the team; set goals, clarify expectations, and provide timely feedback.
- Monitor and manage associate performance; provide resources and support as needed; address issues requiring management resolution.
- Provide coaching and developmental opportunities to associates and prepare them for upward promotion if interested.
- Support associates through change and transitions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations or related area with increasing responsibilities.
- Leadership experience with direct report responsibility, including mentoring and coaching others.
- Proven record of complying with safety requirements.

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, transportation, industrial engineering, business, or related field.
- Experience leading others through change; experience managing resources, time, and budgets.
- Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems.
- Experience taking a lead role in corporate-led initiatives or leadership within another Lowe’s supply chain network facility.
- Experience building a culture of safety among subordinates and peers.
Pay Range: $74,600.00 - $ annually. Starting rate of pay may vary based on position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
